Lith prints of Finland’s peaceful landscape

These lithprints have been made before I started in digital photography.

Lithprinting is a different darkroom printing technique, starting with a normal monochrome film negative. So it’s not using the lith films that have been used when offset printing wasn’t digital.

Largely overexposed monochrome paper ends up in a low concentration hydrochinon developer. The result is a monochrome print with additional color (orange, pink or …? ). As the developer oxidizes very quickly, it is nearly impossible to get an exact copy of an existing lithprint.
